Description
This lot features a limited edition photolithographic print on paper titled Danger by artist Lloyd Hovland, identified as part of A Collector’s Painting – Series 20. The realistic wildlife composition depicts a bull North American moose (Alces americana) wading through a misty marshland under the light of a full moon, with aquatic vegetation trailing from its mouth. The work is hand-signed in pencil at the lower center by the artist and numbered 351/650. Printed text along the bottom margin includes the title and the species common and scientific names, while the artist signature is also reproduced within the image at the lower right. The piece is housed in a simple dark-stained wooden frame. The verso is backed with corrugated cardboard and fitted with a braided hanging wire.
