Description
An Ande Rooney Inc. porcelain enamel reproduction of a New Orleans Police Department warning sign. The sign is constructed from heavy-gauge sheet metal with a white porcelain enamel finish. The front features bold black lettering reading BEWARE PICKPOCKETS AND LOOSE WOMEN – NEW ORLEANS POLICE DEPT. The sign is designed with intentional simulated distressing, including black splatter and rust-like spots, to mimic an antique appearance. The lower right corner contains the copyright mark copyright ANDE ROONEY INC. 1984. The reverse side is finished in a uniform gray enamel. Four mounting holes are present in the corners.
