Description
This is a mid-20th century double sided screen door advertising pusher sign for Ward s Tip-Top Bread, manufactured by the Ward Baking Company. The sign is composed of painted wire mesh and is presented in a contemporary wooden display frame. One side features a central graphic of a Tip-Top bread loaf in a red and white star-patterned wrapper with text including WARD S TIP-TOP BREAD, Enriched for Better Nutrition, and NEW YORK, N.Y. WARD BAKING COMPANY. Yellow script and block lettering below the loaf reads Enriched TIP-TOP IS Better Bread. The reverse side intended for store exits displays a white bread loaf graphic with red text reading THANK YOU! Did You Remember TIP-TOP BREAD?. The yellow text from the opposite side is visible in reverse through the mesh.
