Description
This is a Twin Oaks Mixture tobacco humidor tin, constructed in a decorative footed casket or chest form. The tin is made of lithographed and embossed metal. The front panel features a raised red-painted cartouche with the brand name TWIN OAKS in embossed lettering, with MIXTURE appearing in a smaller rectangular box below. The lid and sides are decorated with embossed oak branches, leaves, and pairs of acorns, with the acorns highlighted in red paint. The interior of the lid contains a circular perforated metal plate, designed to hold a moistening element to maintain tobacco freshness. The underside of the tin bears a printed legal notice stating FACTORY NO 2 DISTRICT OF MD, indicating production in Maryland, and a caution against reusing the package for tobacco.
