Description
This lot features two utility knives of American manufacture. The first is a fixed blade hawkbill pruning or linoleum knife by W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Co., marked with the CASE XX blade stamp. It features a curved carbon steel blade and a hardwood handle secured with two large brass rivets and a lanyard hole at the pommel. The second item is a Barlow style folding pocket knife by the Colonial Knife Company of Providence, Rhode Island. The bolster is embossed with Master Barlow in script, and the primary blade tang is stamped COLONIAL PROV. USA. This two-blade folder includes a primary clip point blade and a secondary pen blade, both housed between textured off-white synthetic handle scales with metal bolsters. Approximate Case XX blade length: 3 inches Approximate Colonial primary blade length: 2.5 inches.
