Description
This point-of-sale advertising display features the iconic parrot mascot for Corby’s Blended Whiskey. The three-dimensional sign is constructed from vacuum-formed molded plastic or celluloid and depicts a parrot with outstretched wings and vibrant red, yellow, and green plumage. The bird is perched atop a speech bubble-shaped plaque. The central embossed text reads SAY CORBY’S FOR GOOD TASTE. Printed black text along the bottom curve identifies the product as BLENDED WHISKEY-86 PROOF-68.4% GRAIN NEUTRAL SPIRITS-JAS. BARCLAY & CO., LTD., PEORIA, ILL. The reverse of the display shows a reinforced backing with two horizontal foam mounting strips and a central cardboard support. This type of display was typically utilized in liquor stores or bars during the mid-20th century.
