Description
This lot comprises two vertical pocket tobacco tins from prominent American brands. The first tin is a Twin Oaks Mixture tobacco container constructed of embossed tin with a dark, weathered finish. The front face features the Twin Oaks brand name within a decorative shield and the word Mixture in a rectangular box below. The reverse side displays an embossed wreath of oak leaves encircling two acorns, with the brand name Twin Oaks in red lettering at the base. The interior of the lid exhibits the mirrored impression of the front embossing. The second tin is a Big Ben Smoking Tobacco container produced by the Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation. This tin features a bright orange lithographed finish with a central illustration of a standing brown horse. The brand name Big Ben is printed at the top in stylized serif lettering. The background includes graphics representing a B&W coupon. Text at the base reads Valuable B&W Coupon – Inside This Tin – Save For Handsome Premiums.
