Description
A group of 4 antique cast iron sad irons, also known as flat irons, of varying sizes and styles. These items are constructed of solid cast iron and were designed for heating on a stove for domestic pressing. One iron features a base embossed with the word ROYAL and the number 6, paired with a handle that has a diamond-patterned grip. A second iron is embossed with a number 6 within a circular mark on the base and features a handle with a horizontally ribbed grip. A third iron is marked with the number 7 on the center of its handle and displays a heavily textured, pitted cast finish on the top of the base. The fourth and smallest iron in the collection is embossed with the number 8 on the center of the handle.
