Description
A collection of vintage lawn bowling or bocce balls, constructed from a dense, dark material with a weathered, mottled surface. The set consists of multiple large spheres and one significantly smaller target ball, commonly known as a jack or cochonnet. Several of the larger balls feature a single incised groove encircling the diameter, while others appear plain. No maker’s marks, brand names, or country of origin are visible on the surfaces. The items exhibit signs of age and use, including surface abrasions, scratches, and areas of white oxidation or mineral residue. The collection is housed in a generic, unprinted cardboard box.
