A diverse collection of United States military and civilian items dating from approximately 1939 to 1946. Field equipment includes an olive drab plastic angle-head flashlight, characteristic of the TL-122 series, featuring a belt clip and blue filter lens. Ration components consist of one cylindrical metal can labeled Army Field Ration Type C / B Unit from the Leh-Parrott Baking Comp. and one cardboard box for US Army Field Ration D containing ingredients for a 4-ounce chocolate bar. Insignia and awards include a 1st Armored Division Old Ironsides shoulder sleeve insignia, a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) circular embroidered patch, an enamel Army Air Forces Technical Training Command distinctive unit insignia with the motto Sustineo Alas, and a gold-tone Honorable Discharge Ruptured Duck lapel pin. A gray metal German commemorative medallion featuring a figure above a spread-wing eagle clutching a swastika is included as a souvenir bring-back. Paper goods and currency comprise a Series 1935 C One Dollar Silver Certificate with a blue seal, a 1945-1946 Miami University Athletic Association student ticket booklet, a 1943 Ohio Department of Highways license permit for a 1941 Chrysler, and a small black booklet titled Bullet 1945.
