Description
This vintage advertising piece is a framed bar mirror for Genesee Cream Ale, a product of the Genesee Brewing Company of Rochester, New York. The sign features a reverse-printed design on glass with a faux-stained glass motif, incorporating green and amber segments with simulated lead lines. The composition includes the Genesee brand name in a large green oval at the top. The center features the brewery’s circular seal, noting the established date of 1878, flanked by stylized wheat stalks. The lower portion displays the text CREAM ALE and ON TAP, the latter set within a green rectangular banner. The mirror is housed in a simple, light-toned wooden frame and includes two brass-toned screw eyes with an attached metal hanging chain. The reverse view confirms the graphics are applied directly to the back of the glass.
