The unit is a key-operated "detail adder" model equipped with a single row of 15 keys for transaction amounts ranging from one cent to five dollars, alongside a No Sale key. A white marble shelf is positioned above the wooden base, which houses a cash drawer. The drawer front is adorned with a decorative cast metal plate featuring the word NATIONAL in scrollwork.
