Lot 450:
Junkers Ju 87 Stuka Desert Snake Livery Desk Model
Sold for: $100
Description
Desk display model representing a Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber. The model is constructed from carved wood or heavy composite material and features a professional high-gloss hand-painted finish. It is decorated in a Luftwaffe desert camouflage pattern with sand-colored and olive-green mottling over a light blue underside. A distinctive red and white stylized snake motif extends along both sides of the fuselage, terminating in an eye and mouth design on the engine cowling. Markings include the alphanumeric code T6+MP and black and white Balkenkreuz symbols on the fuselage and upper wings. The vertical stabilizer displays a black swastika outlined in white. The aircraft is equipped with a three-blade propeller featuring a yellow spinner and fixed landing gear with aerodynamic spats. The model is supported by a detachable, curved black base. The livery is modeled after the 6. Staffel of Sturzkampfgeschwader 2 Immelmann as seen in the North African theater during World War II.
