Description
This is a finished display model of a Consolidated B-24J Liberator heavy bomber, attributed to Scalecraft. The aircraft is constructed from hand-carved and painted wood, appearing to be mahogany. The model is finished in a silver natural-metal scheme featuring United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) star and bar insignia. Distinctive features include red engine cowlings, black-finished vertical stabilizers, and four-bladed propellers with yellow-painted tips. The model includes detailed glazed elements for the cockpit and nose turret. Yellow mission tally markings are visible on the port side of the nose fuselage. The aircraft is mounted on its original black-finished pedestal display stand. The base of the stand features gold-tone lettering that reads: CONSOLIDATED / B-24J / Scale 1/72. A white auction tag with the number 442 and the name Atlee Raber is attached to the support arm.
