Description
This tabletop refractor telescope is constructed of polished brass and was manufactured in Japan for the retailer Brookstone. The instrument features a 50mm objective lens and is designed for 30x magnification. The main barrel is mounted on a brass pillar tripod with three curved legs. Vertical altitude adjustment is controlled through a mounting bracket with a knurled tension knob. The telescope employs a draw-tube focusing mechanism with a knurled ring at the eyepiece. Printed markings on the objective end of the barrel identify the maker as Brookstone and include the specifications 30x50mm and Made in Japan with a stylized manufacturer logo. Length: approximately 12-18 inches.
