Description
This lot features two vintage wall-mounted kitchen organization units, designed for the Dutch or Belgian market. Both pieces are constructed from pressed steel finished in a traditional shaded or gradient orange-to-brown vitreous porcelain enamel. The first unit is a utensil rack consisting of an oval-shaped backplate and a fixed horizontal support bar. It includes three matching long-handled utensils: a perforated skimmer, a deep round soup ladle, and a pouring ladle with a side spout. The second unit is a cleaning supply shelf featuring a shaped backplate with two mounting points and three circular cut-outs in the ledge. This shelf holds three matching cylindrical containers labeled with white block lettering in Dutch: ZEEP for soap, ZAND for abrasive cleaning sand, and SODA for washing or baking soda. The style and colorway are characteristic of mid-twentieth-century European enamelware. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible on the pieces.
