Description
An antique gas-fueled parlor stove featuring a cylindrical cast iron body set upon a highly decorative cast iron base. The unit is supported by four cabriole-style legs with silver-toned plating, matching the decorative footrail and the ornate crown assembly. The center of the body is adorned with an oval silver-toned plaque depicting a heraldic shield with two fleurs-de-lis and diagonal stripes, flanked by two torches. The lower firebox section consists of two hinged doors with an ornate lattice-work frame over mica panels. Internally, the firebox is filled with multiple perforated ceramic radiants. A gas intake pipe and control valve are located at the lower right base of the heater. The rear portion of the top casting is embossed with the alphanumeric mark 4-A.
