Description
This lot features a set of three cast iron components forming a Victorian style swinging wall mount display, traditionally utilized for oil lamps or small planters. The set consists of a decorative wall plate with two vertical sockets, one highly ornate swinging arm with an integrated open-work basket featuring scrolling foliate and geometric motifs, and one simpler swinging arm terminating in a support ring. Both arms are fitted with pivot pins that seat into the wall bracket sockets. The pieces are finished in a uniform matte black, characteristic of a japanned finish or a well-maintained later paint application. No manufacturer marks or patent information were found upon inspection.
