Description
This vintage toy kitchen cupboard, attributed to the Ideal Toy Company based on period design consensus, is constructed from lithographed sheet metal. The unit features a two-tier hutch design above a lower cabinet base. The exterior is decorated with a yellow lattice pattern accented by folk-art style fruit and floral motifs, including pineapples, cherries, and pears. The lower section includes a salmon-pink sliding center drawer and two hinged doors. Each door features a lithographed stylized figure in folk costume?a woman on the left and a man on the right?framed by heart and floral corner motifs. The interior shelves and backing are finished in a neutral grey-blue. The set includes an assortment of period-appropriate accessories: a red plastic spice rack with four containers labeled Salt, Pepper, Nutmeg, and Cloves in red vertical lettering; a red plastic tray containing three plastic eggs in white and tan; a pink plastic utensil; and a collection of aluminum cookware including a lidded pot and two nesting pans.
