It is finished in a traditional two-tone glaze, consisting of a dark brown Albany-style slip glaze on the upper shoulder and rim, and a light cream-colored Bristol-style glaze on the lower body. The front of the pot is decorated with a cobalt blue stenciled crown mark containing the number 3, with the letters LLL at the base of the crown. The reverse side features the stenciled cobalt inscription DURGIN-PARK MARKET-DINING ROOMS USA, denoting its commission for the historic Boston restaurant. The interior is glazed in a matching dark brown slip. Capacity: 3 gallons.
