Description
A50-pound capacity lithographed metal lard tin from Sheller Meats, Inc. of Smithville, Ohio. The item features a white-finished body decorated with forest green graphics and a matching green removable lid. The front display features a double-oval border enclosing the text Sheller Brand in script over a green banner, with LARD in large bold block lettering below. The container is marked as Open Kettle Rendered and includes the packing company name and location. The base rim is inscribed with the Akron Board of Health inspection mark, Est No 20. Two wire bail handle mounts are attached to the sides.
