Description
This collection includes threeminiature pressed glass hen on nest covered dishes, typically utilized as salt cellars or small trinket containers. The first piece is an iridescent cobalt blue carnival glass dish. It features a lid with detailed feathering and a fluted base with a scalloped, flared rim. A raised capital letter M mark within a rectangular border is visible on the interior floor of the base, identifying it as Mosser Glass. The second piece is a cobalt blue slag glass dish, characterized by opaque white and light blue marbling. The base features a traditional basketweave texture. This piece is unmarked. The third piece is constructed from translucent light green glass. The hen lid has a stippled, frosted texture, while the base features a diamond-point or quilted pattern. This piece is unmarked.
