June Antiques and Collectibles Consignment
Lot 327:
Description
This lot comprises thirty-six (36) loose gemstones and organic specimens, each professionally housed in an individual clear-lidded circular plastic gem container and organized within a foam-lined tray. The collection features a diverse assortment of minerals and materials primarily cut as oval cabochons with smooth, polished surfaces. Based on visual characteristics, the parcel includes multiple stones appearing to be tiger eye with characteristic chatoyancy. Also present are man-made specimens appearing to be goldstone in both reddish-brown and deep blue varieties, displaying internal metallic aventurescence. Other specimens appear to include green aventurine or jadeite, deep blue sodalite or lapis lazuli, pink and purple stones resembling amethyst or rose quartz, and various earthy jaspers. One specimen appears to be a polished piece of iridescent shell, likely mother-of-pearl or abalone. A single rectangular step-cut pink stone, possibly rose quartz or tourmaline, is located in the bottom row. The stones appear to range in length from approximately 5mm to 10mm.
