Description
This is a manual floor-style tire pump issued by the United States Quartermaster Corps (QMC) during the World War II era. The pump is constructed with a cylindrical steel body and a wide cast iron footplate, which is embossed with the markings US-QMC. It features a turned wooden T-handle and includes a flexible black braided hose with a metal connector tip. The exterior retains portions of its original olive drab paint, which was standard for military vehicle equipment. These pumps were frequently stored in the tool compartments of vehicles such as Willys MB and Ford GPW Jeeps.
