Description
This48-star United States National Flag represents the official design of the American flag from 1912 to 1959. The blue canton features forty-eight white stars arranged in a standard rectilinear grid of six rows of eight stars each. The flag is constructed with thirteen individually sewn horizontal stripes in red and white. The stars are applied to the blue field using a zigzag stitch. The hoist edge is finished with a heavy white canvas header containing metal grommets. The canvas header is marked with hand-embroidered initials G.S.H. in red thread and a faded black ink stamp specifying the size. Dimensions: 5 x 8 feet.
