Description
This lot consists ofmotorcycle license plates from the State of Ohio, spanning several decades from the mid-20th century through the early 1980s. The plates are constructed from embossed metal and feature various official state designs and color schemes from their respective eras of issue. Visible examples include a 1947 plate with yellow characters on a cream field reading P 176 U, a 1972 plate with red characters and an affixed 1980 expiration sticker reading 69761, and a 1973 green plate with white characters reading PD126. The collection also contains several other plates with varying border colors including red, green, and blue, as well as a maroon plate. These items appear to be authentic period pieces. Approximately 7 inches by 4 inches.
