Description
blown mercury glass Christmas ornaments accompanied by original cardboard storage boxes. The set features an assortment of spherical ornaments in various sizes and colors, including hot pink, cobalt blue, emerald green, gold, silver, and peach. Distinctive stenciled white designs are present on several pieces: a green ornament featuring The Cat and the Fiddle with a feline illustration, a red ornament depicting a nativity scene with shepherds, a light green ornament reading Christmas Greetings, and a gold ornament marked noel within a decorative border. One large peach-colored ornament is finished with textured mica wave detailing, and a smaller piece features multicolored horizontal striping. The ornaments are housed in a twelve-compartment square box and a vertical five-compartment sleeve. Most items retain metal hanging caps. These pieces are characteristic of mid-20th century production by manufacturers such as Shiny Brite and Fantasia.
