Description
A trio ofpressed glass covered dishes in the Hen on Nest pattern, manufactured by the Indiana Glass Company in the United States. The set includes two dishes in an olive green hue and one dish in an amber-gold color. Each piece consists of a two-part construction: a figural lid molded in the form of a nesting hen with detailed plumage and a textured comb, and a matching oval base featuring a basketweave or lattice pattern on the exterior. The glass is transparent and displays the typical characteristics of mid-century pressed glass. The underside of each base features an embossed manufacturer’s mark consisting of a serifed capital letter I contained within a circular border. Length: 7 inches.
