Description
This lot features two American-made cast iron skillets, both size No. 3. The first skillet is attributed to the Lodge Manufacturing Co. and features a single-notch heat ring at the twelve o’clock position. The base is marked at the six o’clock position with an incised number 3 and the letter G. This style is characteristic of Lodge production from the 1930s. The second skillet is identified as a Birmingham Stove and Range Co. BSR Century Series piece. The base is marked with the text NO. 3 and 6 5/8 IN. This marking format indicates a production period from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s. Both skillets are constructed from solid cast iron with dual pour spouts and integral handles featuring teardrop-shaped hanging holes.
