Description

This novelty wall clock is designed to resemble an automotive wheel and tire assembly. The outer casing is constructed of molded black plastic featuring a realistic tire tread pattern and molded sidewall detailing. The central dial is styled as a silver-tone multi-spoke alloy rim, with a mock cross-drilled disc brake rotor and a silver caliper positioned behind the spokes. The dial face is black with prominent silver-tone Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions and a white printed minute track. The hands are uniquely styled as tools: the hour hand is shaped like a combination wrench and the minute hand is shaped like a flathead screwdriver; both are black with red center stripes. A red sweep second hand is also present. The clock face is protected by a clear plastic lens. The reverse features a molded plastic back with a central battery-operated quartz movement manufactured by Wellgain. A label on the movement housing identifies the distributor as Sears, Roebuck and Co. of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and includes the text Made in U.S.A., while an additional sticker on the casing indicates Made in China. The clock is powered by a single 1.5V AA battery.
