Description
This three-piece porcelain tea service by Eleanor was produced in Germany. The set consists of a teapot with lid, a double-handled sugar bowl, and a creamer. Each piece is finished in an iridescent ombre luster glaze that fades from burnt orange to white. The primary decoration consists of a central oval medallion on each piece featuring a polychrome transfer-printed floral arrangement of pink roses and blue forget-me-nots in a basket. The pieces are designed with scalloped rims and flared bases. The base of the teapot features a green backstamp with the name ELEANOR in a semi-circular arc above the text made in Germany.
