Description

A pair of candle holders crafted from blue and white marbled slag glass. Each piece features a flared circular base decorated with multiple rows of raised hobnails. The central stem is globular with a matching hobnail texture, supporting a cup with a ruffled or scalloped rim. This design and material are highly characteristic of mid-20th-century American glass production and are attributed to the Fenton Art Glass company. The underside of the bases shows the internal marbled pattern of the glass and does not contain any manufacturer marks, which is consistent with Fenton production prior to the 1970s. Visual inspection under UV light reveals no fluorescence, confirming the material as standard blue slag glass rather than uranium glass.
