Description

14in long A lot consisting of two framed prints. The first is a 19th-century engraving of Abraham Lincoln, depicting the 16th President bust-length with a beard. The print features a printed facsimile signature that reads Yours truly, A. Lincoln and the text President 1861-1865 centered below the image. It is housed in a period oval dark-stained wood frame with carved foliate motifs at the poles and sides and a gilded inner bezel. The second item is a black and white lithograph depicting a sentimental genre scene of a young boy dressed as an artist painting a portrait of a young girl. The print bears a plate signature in the lower right corner that reads H. Viegaard. It is mounted on a gray mat and presented in a rectangular light-toned wood frame with decorative metal corner brackets. The backing for this frame is a wooden board. No ruler is present in the photographs to provide exact dimensions.
