Antique Iron Banded Oak Keg w/ Handle
Description
21 x 13 in. This antique wooden keg is constructed of vertical oak staves secured by five wide, flat iron hoops. The heavy-gauge hoops are joined with visible rivets and finished in a black coating. The top head of the barrel is recessed and features an integral, hand-carved wooden handle secured with two screws. A tapered wooden bung or plug is fitted into a side bunghole located approximately one-third up the height of the body.
