19th C. Brass Stand of Arms Flask
Description
9.5 x 3.5 in. An American military-style black powder flask constructed from two embossed brass halves joined by a lead-tin solder seam. The body features a relief patriotic Stand of Arms motif on both sides, displaying a field cannon on a carriage, a mortar, a stack of cannonballs, a bugle, and an American flag with a star pattern. The lower section depicts crossed muskets and pistols framed by flowing ribbons.
