Description
A vertical Chinese wall panel constructed of black lacquered wood. The panel is divided into two framed sections featuring carved relief elements with polychrome paint. The larger upper section depicts a standing warrior figure wearing traditional scale armor, a helmet with a plume, and holding a ceremonial tablet. The smaller lower section features a stylized horse positioned on a rectangular base. Both relief figures are set against recessed rectangular backgrounds characterized by a dark reddish-brown, heavily crackled finish, which provides a textured contrast to the smooth black lacquer of the primary frame.
