Description
A contemporary custom-made sword crafted in the style of a Spartan xiphos, featuring a forward-curving, single-edged blade with a wide belly and a prominent central ridge. The blade is constructed from forged steel with a dark, textured finish throughout. The hilt comprises a blackened metal crossguard with a downward-pointing hook on the forward edge, a straight light-toned wooden grip, and a blackened metal pommel featuring an upward-pointing spur. A stamped device is present on the base of the blade consisting of a shield-shaped border containing two stylized characters, possibly "IK, " which are not legible as a name (photo 7). The spine of the blade bears a vertical stamped inscription in sans-serif characters reading "Forged Steel" with "Hungary" positioned below it (photo 8).Measurements/notes: 33.5 in. L.
