Description
This collection features a group of garden gnome figurines constructed from painted terracotta and ceramic. One large figure is depicted wearing a tall red hat and a green tunic, holding a black wireframe lantern suspended from a metal chain. The base of this figure bears a gold foil adhesive label with a stylized letter Z above the words NASCO and JAPAN. The underside is also stamped in white with a circled R over the number 2408. A second large figurine shows a gnome in a tan apron holding a yellow wooden rake and a pink plastic bucket. A mid-sized figurine depicts a gnome with a red hat and green tunic with one arm raised in a pointing gesture. The collection also includes two smaller ceramic pieces. One features a gnome leaning against a tree stump and is stamped on the underside West Germany. the other is a double-well vessel featuring a pipe-smoking gnome seated between two hollowed stumps, stamped on the underside Germany with an additional M. Based on the provided scale, the lantern-carrying gnome measures approximately 9.5 inches in height, the gnome with the rake measures approximately 9 inches, and the pointing gnome measures approximately 7 inches.
