Description
A rectangular Arts and Crafts style picture frame featuring a copper repousse or embossed metal overlay on a wooden support. The decorative program consists of a repeating motif of ivy-type leaves and berries set within raised bead borders, finished with a dark antiqued patina. The reverse reveals a wooden frame construction with a black hanging wire attached by two metal eyelet screws. No maker marks, signatures, or artist inscriptions are visible on the metal surface or the wooden verso. One loose piece of brown paper is currently housed within the frame. Across the widest point of the exterior: 18 3/4 inches wide by 14 3/4 inches high. Interior sight opening: 14 inches wide by 10 inches high.
