Description
A silver-plated wine cooler or champagne bucket in the Rococo Revival style, featuring a flared, scalloped rim decorated with shell and foliate scroll relief. The urn-form body is flanked by two ornate scroll handles and sits upon a spreading pedestal base with coordinating scrolled decoration. The piece includes a separate, removable metal interior liner. The silver plating shows significant wear across the exterior, revealing a copper-colored base metal on the body, handles, and foot. No maker marks, hallmarks, or country-of-origin labels are visible on the exterior, base, or liner. Height: 10.5 inches (measured to the rim).
