Description
A electric steam or dry iron manufactured by Westinghouse Electric Corp. The iron features a chrome-plated metal body and soleplate with a black molded plastic handle. The handle is accented with a teal blue strip bearing the Westinghouse circle-W logo. A front-mounted rotating dial provides fabric settings for linen, cotton, wool, silk, nylon, and wash n wear, along with low and high steam options and an off setting. The iron is equipped with a black and white patterned cloth-covered electrical cord and a two-prong plug. The heel plate is stamped with the Westinghouse logo and reads WESTINGHOUSE, MANSFIELD OHIO, MADE IN U.S.A., MODEL NO HS-29-1, 120V. 1100W. A.C. ONLY. This lot includes a mismatched Sunbeam Steam or Dry Iron cardboard box featuring mid-century graphics and wash and wear setting advertisements.
