Description
20x10x9 This is a industrial shipping crate manufactured by the Atlas Powder Co. of Wilmington, Delaware, intended for the transport of electric blasting caps. The crate is constructed from softwood utilizing finger-jointed, also known as box-jointed, corners for structural strength, with a bottom panel secured by nails. The exterior features black stenciled graphics and manufacturer markings. The side panels are stenciled with Electric Blasting Caps and Handle Carefully, along with a boxed regulatory mark reading I.C.C. 15A 45. One end panel displays the Atlas globe logo with a banner reading Atlas and Explosives stenciled in an arc below, flanked by Reg. U.S. and Pat. Off. Below the logo, the panel is marked Atlas Powder Co. Wilmington, Delaware, Made in U.S.A. The opposite end panel is stenciled Atlas Manasite No 6 Electric Blasting Caps and Feet Copper Wire. The crate is open at the top and does not include a lid.
