Description
This lot consists of an assortment of vintage costume jewelry necklaces featuring a wide variety of beaded styles from the mid-to-late 20th century. The collection includes strands of molded plastic, resin, and acrylic beads in vibrant colors such as pink, lime green, red, orange, and yellow, including some translucent amber-style resin beads. Multiple strands of iridescent white and cream simulated pearls in various sizes are present. Natural material jewelry is represented by necklaces made from grey teardrop-shaped Job’s tears (Coix lacryma-jobi) seeds and carved brown nut or seed pods. Faceted black glass beads and multi-colored seed beads, some featuring floral patterns, are also included. One specific necklace features a gold-tone base metal chain with cylindrical black and white floral-patterned beads separated by black and white disc-shaped spacers. The findings throughout the collection include base metal clasps such as spring rings and barrel clasps. No maker’s marks or signatures were identified upon inspection.
