Description
4 in long A two-piece covered glass dish in the form of a hen on a nest, produced by the Mosser Glass Company of Cambridge, Ohio. The item is manufactured from opaque green pressed glass, traditionally referred to as jadeite. The lid is modeled as a seated hen featuring detailed molded feather textures across the body and wings, with a defined comb and beak. The base is designed with a basket-weave pattern on the exterior and finished with a scalloped, braided open-lace rim where the lid rests. The interior bottom of the base contains a raised maker mark consisting of a capital M enclosed within a square border.
