Description
This antique industrial-style desktop document embosser, identified as The Anchor model, is constructed from heavy cast iron with a black japanned finish. It features a characteristic curved gooseneck lever handle designed for high-pressure seal application. The frame is cast with a raised relief symbol of an anchor on one side, which is highlighted with reddish-orange paint. The opposite side of the frame displays the raised inscription PAT. MAR 6-00. The base is designed with pre-drilled holes for secure mounting to a desk or workbench. The internal steel and brass die mechanism remains functional and creates a clear three-dimensional impression. The specific seal identifies The Towanda Corporation, which was incorporated in 1921 in Addison, New York. 10 inches H x 7 inches L x 2.5 inches W.
