Lot 537:
Sold for: $35
Description
This lot consists of four complete antique interior door hardware sets. Each set features a pair of octagonal faceted clear glass knobs mounted on brass shanks. These knobs are connected by threaded square steel spindles to heavy-duty mortise lock cases. The lock bodies are constructed of iron or steel, retaining portions of a dark japanned or painted finish. The faceplates and circular escutcheon roses are made of brass. This style of hardware was common in American residential architecture from the late Victorian period through the early 20th century. No manufacturer marks or patent dates were identified on the components during visual inspection. Dimensions: Standard interior mortise lock dimensions.
