Description

This collection consists of a diverse variety of costume jewelry, primarily dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. The lot includes an array of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, and promotional pins. The items are primarily constructed from gold-tone and silver-tone base metals, enamel, acrylic, and natural materials. Necklaces and bracelets feature several styles of chains, including snake, herringbone, and link patterns. Notable pieces include multiple items decorated with natural cowrie and mixed sea shells. A large gold-tone filigree owl pendant with dark stone eyes and a rhinestone-accented scorpion pin are among the featured brooches. The collection also contains a large silver-tone circular locket with engraved scrollwork, a gold-tone heart-shaped locket with a scrolled monogram, and a Scorpio zodiac pendant. Earrings are presented in various pierced and clip-on styles. A grey jewelry box, interior lid printed with JCPenney, contains a cluster of 1980s-style geometric gold-tone and enamel earrings in white and turquoise, along with faux pearls. Promotional and novelty items include a rectangular enamel pin for the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and a blue oval pin for Springer Mountain Farms. Other materials visible throughout the lot include faux pearls, glass beads, rhinestones, and potential semi-precious stones such as tiger’s eye. A small clear plastic container houses several fine-gauge chains.
