Lot 432:
Description
This lot consists of nine boxes of vintage ammunition manufactured by Fabrique Nationale d’Armes de Guerre in Herstal, Belgium. The cartridges are chambered for 9mm Luger and are composed of brass cases, primers sealed with a purple lacquer, and round-nose full metal jacket projectiles. Key markings visible on the light green box labels include the text 25 CARTUCHOS, L?ger – Browning, and CAL. 9 mm, identifying the round count and caliber. The manufacturer is explicitly identified as FABRIQUE NATIONALE D’ARMES DE GUERRE SOC. AN. HERSTAL-LEZ-LIEGE (BELGIQUE). The side of the packaging displays the OXYLESS trademark, denoting the use of a non-corrosive priming mixture. Individual cartridges feature headstamps marked F N 4 7, indicating production at the FN Herstal factory in 1947. The use of the word cartuchos on the labels suggests this ammunition was originally produced for export to a Spanish or Portuguese speaking market.
