Description
A single-sided porcelain enamel advertising sign for Kayo chocolate beverage, a brand associated with the Chocolate Products Company. The sign features a vertical rectangular format with a bright yellow field and a navy blue banner across the bottom. The graphics depict the character Kayo from the American comic strip Moon Mullins in a running pose, carrying a large bottle of the beverage. The character is dressed in a black bowler hat, a red shirt, and blue-and-white checkered trousers. The text at the top reads Demand in red script, situated above the main branding KAYO which appears in large navy blue serif block letters with a white outline. Below the main branding is the text TRADE MARK REG. The graphic of the bottle includes a label reading KAYO and Chocolate, with the text CONTENTS 7 FL. OZ. visible at the base. The bottom navy blue banner features the slogan IT’S real CHOCOLATE in white and red lettering. The sign is manufactured from porcelain enamel on steel and includes four brass-colored mounting grommets, one at each corner. The reverse side is finished in white porcelain.
