Description
This lot features two miniature collectible vehicles from the Hallmark Kiddie Car Classics series, which are scale replicas of original pedal cars produced by the Garton Toy Co. The first vehicle is a locomotive-themed toy finished in red with black and yellow accents. It features painted graphics including Casey Jones on the boiler and The Cannonball Express No. 9 on the cab sides. Physical features include a black smokestack, a yellow cowcatcher, a silver-toned bell with a functional pull-string, and a red steering wheel within the cab. The second vehicle is a -style speedster finished in forest green with yellow and black trim. It is equipped with a yellow canopy roof, a side-mounted silver-toned horn, yellow headlights, and a silver-toned winged hood ornament. Both items are constructed of pressed steel with plastic and die-cast metal components. Each vehicle is mounted on four black spoked wheels with silver-toned hubs. An oval decal is visible on the interior of the green vehicle which reads Garton Toy Co, Garton, Sheboygan, Wis, Made in U.S.A., identifying the original manufacturer of the full-sized pedal cars these items commemorate. Both items are manual push toys and do not contain internal mechanisms.
